About Krogedal Funeral Home

Krogedal funeral home was founded on October 10, 1986 in Ganddal by Arvid Krogedal. The company quickly grew from its home office in Solbakken and moved to Oalsgata 75 in Stangeland. Arvid always said that in Krogedal it was all about "time and security".

Today we say that we want to create:

"Security for a dignified farewell".

In 2000, Arvid Krogedal joined forces with Leif Thingbø, who was engaged in the engraving of grave monuments and the sale of new gravestones. In 2003, Leif took over all operations of Krogedal Funeral Home, where Arvid continued as an undertaker.

Throughout the years, the company has stayed on a steady course. Focusing on helping and being present during funerals has always been at the forefront of everyday life.

In Krogedal, all employees are involved in the operation. Throughout the years, the company has experienced growth and we have gained several departments. We have funerals from Ryfylke to Ogna, Dirdal to Randaberg, yes, throughout Nord-Jæren. We have been to many thousands of homes to meet families who need our assistance. Today, we have office premises in Stavanger, Sandnes, Bryne and in Jørpeland. Krogedal funeral home also continues to have its own tombstone production and shops selling new stones and name additions.

Krogedal funeral home is a member of Virke Gravferd, the trade organization for funeral homes in Norway.
